A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO DIVE WITH NILE CROCODILES
For most of the year, visibility in the Okavango Delta is very poor but in late May the rains fall on the Angola heights and cause a huge surge of cold clean water to flush out the tannins and algae. In early June there is often a secondary push further cleaning up the Delta. The water that comes through is quite cold, 14º – 17º Celsius. This coupled with the cool ambient air temperature gives us the right conditions to enable us to dive with the Nile Crocodiles.

WHAT TO EXPECT
You will be picked up at Maun Airport and transported to Swamp Stop Lodge in Sepope where we will spend our first night. The next morning we will have breakfast and then while we go “croc hunting” our baggage will be transported to our Safari Campsite on Ikoga Island a.k.a. White Landover Island, our operations centre for the next five nights. The campsite will be equipped with individual one man dome tents that are en-suite. We will have a mess tent, for all meals as well as a charging tent for all your camera equipment.

ITINERARY:

Day one: Meet at Maun Airport in Botswana (flights not included) and transfer by road to Swamp Stop Lodge in Sepope. Relax and enjoy your first night in the Okavango.

Day two: After a hearty breakfast we will set off by river on our first day of crocodile hunting. At the end of the day we will head for our new camp at Ikoga Island.

Days three to six: Each day we will head out to look for crocs in the river systems of the Okavango. Between dives we will have an opportunity to enjoy many of the other creatures that inhabit the okavango. Each evening we will return to our safari camp on Ikoga Island.

Day Seven: After a final night's sleep at the island, we will break camp and return you to Maun for your onward flight.

A VERY SPECIAL EXPEDITION FOR SEASONED BIG ANIMAL DIVERS!
