Bengal Tigers of Tadoba Photography Tour

Encounters with Bengal tigers, one horned rhinos, and other iconic Indian wildlife!

Tadoba Tiger Photography Tour.

Tigers of Tadoba

Tadoba National Park has the largest population of Bengal Tigers in all of India, but receives relatively few visitors making it an ideal location for tiger photography.
Spend four full days tracking and photographing Asia’s largest felines within the beautiful teak wood forests of Tadoba. The park is also home to many other iconic Indian predators such as leopards, jungle cats, dholes (wild dogs), and sloth bears.

Rhinos of Kaziranga

After five nights in Tadoba we will relocate to Kaziranga National Park; a UNESCO world heritage site and home to two thirds of the world’s remaining population of One Horned Rhinoceros. This fabulous park (sprinkled with elephant-grass meadows, swampy lagoons, and dense forests) also supports healthy populations of Indian elephants, wild water buffalo, swamp deer, and more. Although not as abundant as Tadoba, you may see more tigers.

ITINERARY

Day 1
At noon we will pick you up from Nagpur Airport or nearby hotels, and transfer you to your luxury lodge on the edge of Tadoba National Park. The route through villages and bushland takes around 5hrs, after which you will be served a delicious dinner at the lodge, followed by a short briefing about what to expect over the coming days in Tadoba.  In the evening you will have plenty of time to prepare cameras, relax at the bar, or stroll through the grounds.

Days 2-5
An early start! After a light pre-breakfast of fruit and tea (tea is a staple in India) you will board your safari jeep and head into the park. The earlier we depart the more likely we are to see tigers on the move, returning from the hunt, so we will arrive at the park gates by 6am. After a couple of hours concentrating on crepuscular wildlife, we will have a more substantial breakfast served in the park to keep you going until lunchtime.

Around 11:30am we will return to the hotel for lunch, then head back into the park for more tiger encounters until sunset. The park is home to a wealth of other animals including leopards, sloth bears, wild dogs, and numerous antelope and deer species; an important part of the tiger’s diet!
Dinner is served in the early evening, allowing plenty of time to download images, charge batteries, and relax before drifting off into dreams filled with tigers.
